STATE AND PROBLEMS OF RUSSIAN BOOK PUBLISHING AND DISTIBUTION. FORECAST FOR THE FUTURE" INDUSTRY CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN SUZDAL

17-18 November 2015, the "State and problems of the Russian publishing and book distribution. Forecast for the future" industry conference was held within the framework of Nineteenth International Conference and Exhibition "Information technologies, computer systems and publications for libraries» («LIBCOM-2015»).

As a part of conference, issues related to the analysis of the dynamics of the Russian book publishing in 2015-2016 were discussed, as well as research on contemporary publishing and book distribution channel structure in Russia; analysis of the dynamics of the electronic publishing market in Russia and abroad, an overview of the legislative initiatives in the field of book publishing.

The conference was attended by leading experts of the book publishing industry: representatives of publishing houses, booksellers, libraries and organizations, aggregators of information resources, professional associations and unions, representatives of ministries and departments, as well as scientists and teachers from specialized higher education institutions.

Various industry people presented their reports: Yakov Shrayberg, general director of the FGBU "State Public Scientific and Technical Library of Russia"; Alexander Voropaev, head of the book fairs department and reading advocacy of the federal agency for press and mass communications; Nogina Elena, director of the Russian book chamber - FSUE subsidiary "ITAR-TASS"; Chechenev Konstantin, president of the Association of book Publishers of Russia; Esenkin Boris Semenovich, President of NP "Guild of the scribes," president of "Biblio-Globus" publishing house; Yevgenia Gusev, deputy director of the Department of education and science - head of libraries and archives department of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation; Visly Alexander, CEO of the Russian State Library; Anura Sergey, CEO of "LitRes"; Konstantin Kostyuk, CEO of "DirektMedia"; Victor Levchenko, CEO of «T8 publishing technologies"; Alexey Kulakov, director of Ridero product; Ryabyko Maxim, executive director of the Association for the Protection of Copyright on the Internet (APCI); Berberov Peter, director of electronic-library system Znanium.com; Sergey Ivanov, director of the electronic library system IPRbooks.

Proceedings of the conference "State and problems of the Russian publishing and book distribution. Forecast for the Future" will become the basis of the annual industry report of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications "The book market of Russia - 2015. State, Trends and Prospects."
